Photoshop Tip: Changing the type size visually

Instead of entering the numerical values by point size, you can visually resize type by using Free Transform. Press "v" to switch to Move tool, then pressing Command-T to bring up the Free Transform bounding box. Hold the shift key to constrain it, grab a corner point, and drag outward or inward to increase or decrease the size. The point size values will automatically update once you have completed resizing.

Photoshop Tip: A quicker way to move between layers

To make it easier to move to different layers in PhotoShop, select the Move Tool (keystroke shortcut "v") and right click on the area of the image that you need to manipulate. A drop down lists of layers will then appear with the pointed area being on the very top of the list.
